Every recipe has a story. We’d love to hear yours.
FIREFLY is creating a cookbook filled with recipes that bring comfort, connection, and meaning. It could be a family favourite, a cultural dish, a recipe connected to Northwestern Ontario, or simply a dish that brings people together. If you’d like, you can also share the story behind your recipe and why it is special to you.
Please submit recipes by July 15.

Earlier this week FIREFLY's Cailyn and Tammy were in Toronto for the Administrative Professionals Conference. They were excited to meet and listen to Chrissy Scivicque founder of Eat Your Career, a former EA turned professional development expert who knows how to help admins grow their influence and impact.

Reminder: Parents & caregivers with an autistic child, this one’s for you! Join us at the Sioux Lookout FIREFLY Office on Thursday, June 18 from 5:00–7:00 p.m. for a Positive Reinforcement session for children and youth (ages 0–18). Come learn practical strategies you can use at home, connect with a Positive Behaviour Interventionist, ask questions, and start building your own reinforcement “toolbox.” We’ll have activities for youth who attend, plus a meal and refreshments to enjoy together. Spots are limited, and an OAP number is required to register.

As part of Autistic Pride Day, FIREFLY is creating an Autistic Celebration Gallery to highlight the talents, passions, accomplishments, and experiences of autistic individuals throughout Northwestern Ontario.
Share a photo, video, artwork, written reflection, or anything else you're proud of. Together, we can create a gallery that reflects the diversity, creativity, and strength of our autistic community.
Submit by Monday, June 15.

The emails have gone out for our Summer Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) sessions. Our SLPs will be available throughout July and August for both current clients and those on the waitlist.
Families can now book directly with our SLPs and create a schedule that works for their summer plans.
👉 Important: Please book using your child’s name — not the parent or caregiver — so our clinicians know who the session is for.
Sessions may be offered:
• In-person at a FIREFLY office in Dryden, Kenora, or Red Lake
• Virtually - available across the FIREFLY region
