In 2017 KUMR will be offering two tours: our regular Mining Tour which includes a guided underground mining experience and a guided tour of the Sullivan Mine Powerhouse and our Scenic Tour which features a train trip through the Mark Creek Valley and up the mountain to the Kimberley Alpine Resort and back to the Station. It features beautiful views of the valley, the Rockies and occasional wildlife.

Our last tour of the season was with some wonderful geology students and engineering students from Japan. They visited the Core Shack with Paul Ransom to learn about the geology of the area and then were able to ride the train and learn about underground mining in the Sullivan with our miner, Dale McBain. What a terrific way to end the season!

KUMR is now closed for the season. What a wonderful season it was! Thanks so much to our dedicated staff, incredible volunteers, and most of all, the wonderful people who came for a visit.
Our new season will begin on the Victoria Day weekend in 2026.

Hard to believe that our season is almost over. Only four days left as our last day is August 31. If you haven't had the opportunity to come and ride the train, we'd love to see you!
The Scenic train runs at 10:00, mining tours are at 11:00, 1:00 and 3:00.
It has been a great season and we are so grateful to our talented volunteers, our amazing staff and of course, our wonderful visitors!

Kimberley's Underground Mining Railway is open for the season running tours from Thursday through Monday until August 31. We are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Scenic Tours at 10:00, Mining Tours at 11, 1 and 3. Hope to see you soon!

K-town Custom Auto and KUMR are hosting the Kimberley Underground Show and Shine on Saturday, June 28 where Kids Ride Free on the train at 9, 10, 11, 1, 2, and 3 o'clock. Beautiful cars, train rides, music, food, beer, bouncy castle: something for everyone! Come join the excitement. You won't be sorry you did!

Starting on June 26, KUMR will begin operating 5 days a week, Thursday through Monday. Kids will be able to ride free for the rest of June, thanks to the following generous sponsors:
Teck, Redding Mining, Mardis Forest Products, Meadowbrook Motors, Signal Collision, Kinross Silva Culture, Citizen of the Year, Jim Webster and KTown Custom Auto, who will also be sponsoring a car show at the station on June 28 where kids will also ride free all day long.
Sunday June 29 we will go back to our regular schedule of Scenic Tour at 10, Mining Tours at 11, 1 and 3. Hope to see you soon.
