A very special thank you to everyone who came today for our Rhubarb Workshop. Extra special thank you to the for not only providing everyone with your Victoria Rhubarb for a superb presentation on its history.

With the stalks, our curator Lydia whipped up some Rhubarb Iced Tea and some Jam to put on her iconic scones with clotted cream!

This summer, we will be hosting a community sewing night!

Join us here at the Walker House Saturday, August 1st at 2-5:30 p.m. where we will be hosting a workshop of sorts.

The objective is to provide the Walker House with new seat cushions for the tavern room while also providing a community experience of collaborative craftsmanship.

This event is for all ages and should you chose to bring along your little ones, children 8 and under will have their own table to learn the sewing basics while those old enough will be working step by step by machine to create some cozy new seat cushions!

CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.

You do not need prior experience to partake in this even UNLESS you are interested in volunteering as a mentor.

Due to demand of supplies and machinery, you will need to RSVP via email or phone before July 11th, 2026.

Interested in volunteering and meet the requirements? Please contact us as soon as possible for further information.
