King - Lebel is currently in an Extreme Fire Danger Zone!

Fires can start very easily, spread rapidly, and become difficult to control very quickly!

In this climate even a small spark from a campfire, cigarette thrown out a window or a chain dragging on pavement can quickly ignite dry grass or brush!

Remember, outdoor burning regulations are in effect, and you are responsible for the fires that you light.

On Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 1:55 pm, a test of Alert Ready will sound in Ontario as part of Emergency Preparedness Week (May 3-9, 2026).

The Alert Ready emergency alert test will be broadcast on television, radio and compatible wireless devices connected to an LTE or 5G network. The test message will simulate an emergency alert, beginning with an alert tone. The message will indicate that it is a test and does not require action from the public.

Please do not call 9-1-1 for information about the test. Using 9-1-1 for non-emergency calls could delay help for people experiencing real emergencies.

Thank you to all our volunteer firefighters!

Our volunteer firefighters aren’t just neighbours helping out—they are highly trained professionals who meet the exact same NFPA standards as full-time crews. They don’t just show up when it’s convenient; they:

• leave family dinners at a moment's notice

• jump out of bed for 3:00 AM calls

• step away from their "day jobs" the second the pager sounds

These individuals are the backbone of our fire services, protecting over 80% of Ontario’s geography. 🌲🚜

This , we’re looking past the gear at the people behind it. To the firefighters balancing careers, families, and the sudden ring of a pager: We see the dedication it takes to serve your community at 3:00 AM and still be at your desk by 9:00 AM.

Thank you for the commitment it takes to balance both roles. 👨‍🚒
