Free tool for dental offices, plus a long-winded explanation of why I bothered building it.
The treatment plan is where most practices quietly leak. Patient nods in the chair, leaves with a printout that reads like a receipt, doesn't book, and nobody records a loss because nothing was ever booked to lose.
DentalForms Desktop generates 17 kinds of dental paperwork from a form you fill in once: treatment plan letters, predeterminations, CDCP preauths, consents, post-op instructions, referrals. It totals the fee table for you, and you can reopen any case later and regenerate it instead of retyping from the last patient's letter.
Output opens in Word, LibreOffice, or Google Docs. Or print straight to PDF for the claim attachment.
No cloud. No account. No subscription. No server. Nothing leaves your computer.
Two honest warnings: it's Windows only, and it's unsigned, so Windows will throw a scary blue box at you when you run it. The post explains why that happens, and why being suspicious of unknown .exe files from the internet is exactly the right instinct, including about mine.
