We’re currently hiring experienced sewers to manufacture our line of sewn tactical gear.
Wheeler Accessories (CPGear) is a tactical gear company, we manufacture sewn products for the military. We’ve been around for 40 years now, and we’re currently growing our team of sewers. View of line of products here: www.cpgear.com
We are looking for people who have experience using industrial sewing machines, past experience in manufacturing, or seamstress experience is ideal.
This is a permanent, labour intensive job. You MUST be within commuting distance to our factory in Fredericton, NB. The city bus does come to our location but on a limited schedule since we are at the end of the service area. Most of our employees have their own transportation, but it is possible to take the bus.
A background in sewing assembly work/manufacturing is required. If you have experience pattern drafting as well, please let us know. For this type of work you need to have good hand/eye coordination, a sense of urgency (as this is a fast paced work) and attention to detail is important.
We're a small family run operation and as such there may be times when you need to assist with other parts of the business. Most of your day will involve sewing, but sometimes you may be helping with other parts of the production process, such as operating our heat press, cutting and trimming badges, folding garments, etc...
A very basic level of english would be needed.

Wolastoqey Language Classes

Ten classes (1 hour – 11am-12pm) starting October 6 to December 8, 2026.
These online classes will be led by Kehkimin in partnership with the Department of Indigenous Affairs. Space is limited to 10-15 people, with priority offered to Indigenous participants. Everyone is welcome to register: a wait list will be established for additional dates. This 1 hour weekly, 10 session program is complimentary for Indigenous participants. The cost for a non-Indigenous participant is $500.

Know your way around industrial electrical systems? Can you troubleshoot a PLC when the line goes down? We want you on our team!
We're looking for Industrial Electricians / PLC Technicians to join our maintenance team in a busy sawmill environment.
THE JOB:
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical equipment
• Diagnose electrical faults and get equipment back up and running
• Troubleshoot and modify PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and control systems
• Maintain motors, sensors, instrumentation, and electrical panels
• Work with automated conveyors, saws, planers, sorters, and other mill equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and electrical inspections
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning
• Work alongside Millwrights, operators, and the maintenance team
• Follow strict lockout/tagout and electrical safety procedures

WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
• Journeyman/Red Seal Industrial Electrician preferred
• PLC troubleshooting and programming experience
• Industrial manufacturing, lumber, or sawmill experience is an asset
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with VFDs, motor controls, sensors, and instrumentation
• Comfortable working around large automated industrial equipment
• Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work independently
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and shutdowns when required

We’re looking for Millwrights to join our sawmill maintenance crew. This is hands-on industrial work where you’ll be keeping heavy equipment running, fixing problems, and helping prevent breakdowns before they happen.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
• Repair and maintain sawmill machinery and equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
• Weld, fabricate, cut, fit, and repair as needed
• Align and install machinery and components
• Respond to breakdowns and get equipment back up and running
• Work on conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors, chains, belts, and more
• Follow proper lockout/tagout and safety procedures
• Work alongside operators, electricians, and the maintenance team

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Red Seal Millwright or Industrial Mechanic certification preferred
