Queen's Pre-Law Society is a student run club at Queens University in Kingston, On. Our mission is to create a dynamic and inclusive community of aspiring legal professionals at Queens University. We are dedicated to fostering a deep understanding of law, promoting academic excellence, and encouraging professional development among our team. Our goal is to provide a supportive platform for students interested in the legal field, enabling them to engage in thoughtful discussions, explore diverse areas of law, and develop essential skills through practical experiences. We strive to create a nurturing environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusivity, where every executive and general member feels empowered to contribute their unique perspectives and ideas. Through various initiatives, workshops, guest lectures, and networking opportunities, we aim to broaden our members' horizons, support each executive and general member, and instill a commitment to upholding justice and the rule of law.

October is a time to celebrate the history, heritage, and contributions of Muslim communities in Canada while standing against Islamophobia.

The 2026 theme, The Art and Legacy of Islamic Calligraphy, explores how calligraphy has preserved knowledge, expressed faith, and connected generations through art and language.

Recognized by Parliament in 2007, this month encourages Canadians to learn, reflect, and practice allyship.

September 30th marks National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada, also recognized as Orange Shirt Day and observed across Turtle Island. Today, we honour the Survivors of Residential Schools, their families, and the children who never returned home.

Between 1867 and 1996, more than 140 Residential Schools operated across Canada, with the devastating purpose of separating Indigenous children from their families, cultures, languages, and identities. The legacy of these institutions has caused profound intergenerational trauma, and their impacts continue to be felt by Indigenous communities today.

QPLS encourages everyone to learn about the history and lasting impacts of Residential Schools, listen to Indigenous voices, and reflect on our role in reconciliation. Explore resources such as RAVEN, Indigenous initiatives on campus, and trusted online resources to continue learning. 🧡
