Got a running toilet? It could be costing you.

Here's a simple trick: put a few drops of food colouring in your toilet tank and wait about 10 minutes without flushing. If the colour shows up in the bowl, your toilet has a leak and it's probably using way more water than you think.

The good news? It's an easy fix. Most of the time, it's just the flapper — a rubber seal at the bottom of the tank — that's worn out and needs replacing. You can pick one up at any hardware store for a few dollars, and it only takes a couple minutes to swap out.

Take a few minutes to check your toilet today. Your wallet (and our water supply) will thank you!

Was your locate request suspended?

A suspended locate request means the Ontario One Call system detected an issue that needs to be reviewed before the request can move forward.

This can happen when information is missing, unclear, or may need to be corrected.

What happens next?
- Your request is reviewed by an Ontario One Call agent
- You may receive a clarification email asking for more details
- Once reviewed, your request will either be processed or you will be advised of any required changes

If your request is suspended, check your email and respond as soon as possible so your request can get back on track.

Suspensions help make sure the information is accurate before the locate process continues.
