Today, the Town of Kingsville raised a flag in honour of National AccessAbility Week. Joined by members of our Accessibility Advisory Committee and guests from Ursa Major learning services and center, the Town was happy to recognize and celebrate the incredible contributions and leadership of Canadians with disabilities. This year’s theme is Building a Strong, Accessible Canada: build a truly accessible, inclusive and equitable Canada. We encourage everyone to participate in Red Shirt Day on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, and pop by the Kingsville Essex County Library this week to see the Accessibility Book Display.

We were thrilled to celebrate the official opening of Youth Unlimited YFC Kingsville's new youth centre, The Anchor, earlier today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Located at 313 Main Street, Unit 14, The Anchor is a brand-new space where local youth can connect, grow, and belong. The centre will offer a variety of programs, including drop-in times, meals, and engaging activities—all within a safe and welcoming environment. When young people are engaged in their communities and inspired by future opportunities, there’s no limit to what they can accomplish—for themselves and for society.

📸 We caught the Kingsville Horticultural Society in action! Founded in 1912, this incredible group of community volunteers helps keep our town blooming by caring for 36 planters, 35 garden beds, and 3 raised beds throughout Kingsville, Cedar Beach, Cottam, and Ruthven. From pulling weeds and planting flowers to enhancing public spaces, their work makes a visible difference across our community.

Their impact goes beyond the gardens. The Society also hosts (and co-hosts) events like Seedy Saturday, the Annual Plant Sale, and the Vintage Garden Tour and Tea, while inspiring the next generation of green thumbs through the Junior Gardening Program, where children learn how to grow their own food and flowers.

Thank you to the Kingsville Horticultural Society for everything you do to make our community more beautiful, vibrant, and welcoming! ❤️🌻

Follow Coward’s expedition, “South to North: A Canadian Motorcycle Journey,” as he rides his Triumph Tiger 1200 from Kingsville to Tuktoyaktuk, Northwest Territories, the northernmost community in Canada accessible by road. Kingsville was chosen as his starting point for our distinction as Canada’s southernmost town.

Road Closure Notice: Road 10 Bridge Reconstruction Begins June 1, 2026

Please be advised that Road 10 will be fully closed beginning June 1, 2026, between County Road 27 (Belle River Road) and Graham Sideroad for bridge replacement work. The road will remain closed for approximately four months, with an anticipated completion in early September (weather permitting).

The closure applies to all automotive, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic. Local traffic, including residents and emergency services, will be permitted up to the bridge site; however, no traffic will be able to cross the structure until work is complete.

Please follow all posted detour signage during the construction period.

The Town thanks residents and drivers for their patience and cooperation as this important infrastructure work is completed.
