Thank you to our volunteers, our community partners at EMS and RCMP, local farmers who stopped to assist and our EC911 Dispatchers for handling the call.

FIRE CALL - Mutual Aid: Industrial Fire

Yesterday, a request for assistance was made by Legacy Regional Protective Services for Tanker support from Kitscoty Fire Department, Blackfoot Fire and Rescue and Paradise Valley Fire Department for a significant event in the RM of Wilton.

Firefighters responded, alongside many of our neighbouring partners, including; Britannia Fire Department, Lloydminster Fire Rescue, Wainwright Fire & Rescue, Maidstone Waseca and District Fire and Rescue, Manitou Lake Fire/Rescue and countless others.

Thanks to our crews (both volunteer and staff) for their contribution in working this fire, our EC911 Dispatchers for handling the increased radio traffic, Wilton Police for traffic control and Cenovus for their water.

Even though this fire wasn't in our County, our firefighters and first responders worked diligently and co-operatively to safeguard residents across the region.
