Well everyone. 20min to go, if there was any chance you were going to vote, now’s the time. I just pulled the list and we are sitting at 3350 voters. That’s only 12.5% but better than the 10% I was expecting.

10/20/2025

Only 2380 (8.75%) people have voted so far which I know we can do far better than that. Let's make sure you get out and vote today, and even if you don't want to vote, get out and check that box off as it's there for you to do so as well. Let's show the town how much we all care for it by taking 5 minutes to cast a vote.

You can go to the Civic Centre at 5950 Malden Rd between 930am and 8pm to get your Voters Information Card, and you can even cast your vote right there if you want. TODAYS THE LAST DAY.

Its been an honour meeting all of you and I look forward to meeting even more of you starting in May of 2026 when we start campaigning for the full election.

As I write this I am extremely frustrated and angry regarding the ongoing lack of effective communication from the town. This issue continues to be a recurring problem, and a recent incident has brought it to the forefront once again.

The town's decision to notify the community, particularly those directly impacted, about significant property developments solely through a sign on the affected property's front lawn is inadequate. Many residents, including myself, could easily drive by such a sign without fully understanding its implications.

I am particularly concerned about a current proposal that states it involves separating a property into three parcels, yet the provided drawing appears to show four. Based on past experiences, such as the development on the front road where initial plans for three two-dwelling units ultimately resulted in three six-dwelling units, I fear this could lead to a significantly higher density, potentially up to 24 dwellings, in what is currently a quiet family street. This would inevitably lead to chaos, negatively impacting the quality of life for neighboring families and potentially decreasing property values. The town must cease approving developments in this manner.

I strongly urge everyone to attend the upcoming hearing, even if you are not directly affected. Your presence would demonstrate crucial support for the families who will bear the direct impact of this decision. Consider the profound effect it would have if a similar development were proposed next to your home. It is also vital to remember how our council stands up for the community on such matters, as these decisions will have a lasting negative impact on our beloved town.

Good evening everyone,

I'd like to encourage you all to attend the upcoming meeting regarding short-term rentals and voice your concerns. While I personally enjoy using platforms like Airbnb when I travel, I believe LaSalle's situation is unique, as we don't typically see a high volume of tourists.

My primary concern with short-term rentals is when large companies or organizations purchase properties and rent them out indiscriminately. This transforms a residential property into a business, and as such, I believe the town should implement appropriate regulations.

Without proper oversight, these unregulated rentals can attract undesirable activities. It has recently come to my attention that a short-term rental in LaSalle has been allegedly associated with human trafficking. Neighbors have expressed their frustration to me about the frequent police presence and feeling unsafe in their own homes.

This is not the kind of environment we want for our community. We need to urge the council to regulate these rentals. Specifically, if the primary owner does not reside at the rental property where rooms are being offered, they should be subject to business taxes and require a permit for each room they rent out.

These are just my thoughts, but based on what I've heard from other neighbors, it's clear that these unregulated activities are not something we want in our town.

📢 Have your say on Short-Term Rentals in LaSalle!

The Town is studying ways to manage STRs like Airbnb and Vrbo, small inns, or B&Bs. Join us at a drop-in session to learn more and share your thoughts.

I have spoken with Mike Seguin and he agreed with me that opening his event to other candidates will only benefit the community, allowing people to stop by and ask questions to those that attend.

Tomorrow night I will add who has replied they will attend that event in addition to Thursday night.

Wednesday Night at Zehrs 6pm-8pm
Thursday Night at LA Town Grill 6pm-9pm

Hope to see some of you there.

Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend.
I'm writing to provide an update regarding the Meet and Greet/Open House for the candidates scheduled next Thursday, October 2nd. This event was originally intended to be one of several opportunities for the community to meet candidates in person, as direct door-to-door campaigning isn't always feasible. My goal was to create a central location where LaSalle residents could interact with all candidates and have their questions answered.
Given that many candidates are now organizing individual meet and greets, I will no longer be organizing additional group events. Unfortunately some candidates planning their own events may not be able to attend the October 2nd gathering.
My hope is that those organizing individual meet and greets might consider opening them up to all candidates. This would offer LaSalle residents a comprehensive opportunity to form an opinion on everyone running, which ultimately serves the best interests of our community, and thats what being on council should be all about, the best interests of the community.
Regardless, the Meet and Greet next Thursday, October 2nd, will still proceed, though I have adjusted the hours to be 6-9 PM. I hope to see as many candidates as possible there. Please Directly message me or reply to this post in a comment below to let me know if you plan to attend for all, or a portion of the evening so I can inform the residents of LaSalle who will be present.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone and I hope to knock on your door over the next couple days

Good afternoon everyone.
Our friends at L.A. TOWN GRILL have graciously offered their room for us to have a meet and greet Thursday Oct 2nd from 6pm-10pm.

All candidates have been invited, and we hope to see everyone there. This is a great way to ask everyone questions you may have and meet everyone that’s running for the seat on council to be your voice.

I look forward to seeing everyone there.
