The cadet girls flag football season came to an end last Saturday. After having finished first in their division, and having won their quarterfinal game, the girls were well positioned going into the semi finals. Unfortunately they ran into a very strong opponent , Esther-Blondin. They lost a very rainy game, but picked themselves up to win the bronze medal game afterwards. The coaches are very proud of this group. / La saison de flag-football des filles cadettes s’est terminée samedi dernier. Après avoir terminé premières dans leur division et remporté leur match de quart de finale, les filles étaient bien positionnées en vue des demi-finales. Malheureusement, elles ont affronté une adversaire très solide, Esther-Blondin. Elles ont perdu un match disputé sous une forte pluie, mais se sont relevées pour remporter ensuite le match de la médaille de bronze. Les entraîneurs sont très fiers de ce groupe.

We are proud to share that one of our students, Norma, received the Lieutenant Governor General Award on Sunday, May 24, 2026. This is a remarkable achievement that makes the entire LRHS community very proud. We look forward to celebrating Norma once again at our graduation ceremony on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
Congratulations, Norma! 🎉👏 / Nous sommes fiers d’annoncer que l’une de nos élèves, Norma, a reçu le Prix du Lieutenant-gouverneur général le dimanche 24 mai 2026. Il s’agit d’un accomplissement remarquable qui rend toute la communauté de LRHS très fière. Cet honneur sera souligné de nouveau lors de notre cérémonie de remise des diplômes le samedi 19 septembre 2026.

Some DP visual art students have been focusing on the art of music this term as well and have worked hard to recreate album covers that had artwork they appreciated. / Certains élèves en arts visuels du DP ont également exploré l’art lié à la musique ce trimestre et ont travaillé fort pour recréer des pochettes d’albums dont ils appréciaient l’illustration.

Last week, our Days for Girls group had fun doing a pie-in-the-face fundraiser for menstrual equity in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Our group has worked to raise money and awereness for this important cause for the past three years. / La semaine dernière, notre groupe Days for Girls s’est amusé en organisant une collecte de fonds « tarte au visage » pour l’équité menstruelle en République démocratique du Congo. Depuis maintenant trois ans, notre groupe travaille à amasser des fonds et à sensibiliser la communauté à cette cause importante.

On Sunday, May 31, The Montreal Alliance Basketball team recognized Mathis Lapointe from Laurentian Regional High School and Joseph Furtado-Kort from Laval Junior Academy and presented them with a bursary for their dedication and achievements both in their sport and their academics.

Their hard work, perseverance, and commitment serve as an inspiration to their peers and embody the values we strive to promote.

Chairperson James Di Sano was also present to congratulate these remarkable young leaders on this well-deserved achievement.

Not photographed was Joseph as he was playing in the finals with his basketball team so could not be present.
