Thanks for participating in last week's Trash to Treasure campaign! Community Clean-Up is now underway and crews are following the schedule in this post.

For a complete list of what crews will pick up, please review the list in the photo or visit our website. Please note that box springs and mattresses are not accepted this year. Thanks for helping keep pick ups safe for our removal teams.

Please note that any items placed out after your scheduled collection date, or left behind after collection, remain the property ownerโ€™s responsibility. City crews will not return once collection in your area is complete.

Uncollected items can be taken to the Prentiss Transfer Station.

Thanks for your cooperation and understanding and a BIG thank you to the hard working waste removal teams working hard throughout Lacombe this week.

โœ”๏ธ Strategic Plan Checkpoint: Midway Trail Report

Welcome to Strategic Plan Checkpoint, a new video series highlighting the progress, decisions, and outcomes of the City of Lacombe's 2026-2029 Strategic Plan.

In our first update, Mayor Thalia Hibbs and City Manager Matthew Goudy provide an overview of the Report of the Status of the Pedestrian Trail Connection to Midway Centre.

Council decided not to move forward with the proposed trail connection at this time, marking the completion of this action item under the Strategic Priority of Responsible Growth and Infrastructure Readiness.

This first Strategic Plan Checkpoint demonstrates how the Strategic Plan guides decision-making and provides transparency on outcomes, including situations where the decision is not to proceed.

Good news! Northwest Recreation Park is now officially open, and the trail system is once again available for public use.

Thank you to everyone for your patience while improvements were completed. We're excited to welcome residents back to the park and trail network.
