๐Ÿ’ง Water Supply Update ๐Ÿ’ง

On April 22, the Town began its seasonal transition to drawing water from the Holland Creek intake for the summer months. During the winter, water is sourced from Stocking Lake, which provides stable water quality throughout the rainy season.
As temperatures rise and summer demand increases, the system shifts to Holland Creek and Holland Lake โ€” the Townโ€™s primary summer water source.

Current reservoir levels remain strong:
โœ”๏ธ Stocking Lake: 93.6% capacity (as of April 24)
โœ”๏ธ Holland Lake: Full capacity

The Town will also continue supplementing Holland Lake with water from Bannon Creek until May 31, depending on creek flows.

Overall, Ladysmithโ€™s water supply is in a strong position heading into the warmer, drier months ahead.

Today (May 8th) marks the 81st Anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day โ€” the day the Second World War came to an end in Europe in 1945.

On this important anniversary, we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those Canadians who served. We also recognize the many Canadians who contributed to the war effort here at home.

To all veterans, and to the families who supported them, thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Lest we forget.
