B.C. businesses are feeling the impact of new Canada–U.S. tariffs.
New 50% U.S. tariffs are now affecting approximately $27 billion CAD of Canadian goods, with 14% of B.C.’s exports to the U.S. impacted — the highest share of any province.
The BC Chamber of Commerce is working with local chambers, the provincial government, and national partners to ensure the voices of B.C.’s small and medium-sized businesses are heard as governments respond.
💡How can you help?
• Know a business affected by tariffs? Share their experience through the BC Chamber’s Two-Minute Intake Form: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/pages/responsepage
• Tell us what support your business or organization needs.
• Have expertise in finance, logistics, legal, accounting or market development? The BC Chamber is looking for experts and sponsors to support businesses through its upcoming Small Business Week programming.
Canada’s counter-tariffs take effect September 8.
Now is the time for B.C. businesses to share their experiences, needs and ideas so we can work together toward solutions.
