🥹 Lakeshore, you did it again! 💙

Today was the 2nd Annual Lakeshore Helping Lakeshore Fall Food & School Supply Drive, and honestly… we are still trying to wrap our heads around what happened.

We asked our community to show up for local families who could use a little extra help, and Lakeshore showed up in DROVES.

We truly believe this was our biggest and most successful food drive yet, and we could not be more proud of this community. ❤️

You didn’t just fill the bed of a pickup truck with much needed food for the Community Support Centre of Essex County 's Food Bank… you filled the back seat too. 🥹

And then came the cash donations. A truly incredible $982.55 was donated!!!!! With every single dollar of which is going right back into buying even more food and school supplies for local kids and families.

We were blown away by the generosity. The food. The snacks. The school supplies. The notebooks. The lunch items. The cash. And most of all, the people who stopped to donate, share a smile, tell a friend, or simply say, “How can I help?”

A huge thank you to Mike for lending us his pickup truck and helping us haul this mountain of generosity!

Thank you to our wonderful student volunteers who gave their time today and helped make everything run smoothly. You guys were amazing, and we are so grateful to have you as part of this.

Thank you to Rymerson’s Your Independent Grocer for allowing us to be there today and helping us make this drive possible.

And a very special thank you to Paula for opening up the Food Bank today so we could get everything safely dropped off and into the hands of the people who need it. ❤️

This is what community looks like.

It’s neighbours helping neighbours. It’s making sure a child has the supplies they need for school. It’s putting food on a local family’s table. It’s looking around at the place we call home and deciding that we take care of our own. 🫂

To every single person who donated today — thank you.

To everyone who shared our posts and helped spread the word — thank you.

To everyone who came out and supported us — thank you.

And to Lakeshore…

You should be incredibly proud of yourselves. 🥹❤️

We started Lakeshore Helping Lakeshore because we believe that when a community comes together, incredible things happen.

Today, you proved us right.

Lakeshore, this is YOUR community. And today, you showed just how big your heart is. 💙

From the bottom of our hearts… thank you. 🍎🎒🥫❤️

𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬! 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬! 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬!

🍎🎒LAKESHORE… WE’RE DOING IT AGAIN! 🥫✏

Our 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 & 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 is happening THIS SUNDAY, September 13th, from 10 AM–3 PM at Rymerson’s YIG, 345 Notre Dame Street, Belle River!

Last year, our community showed up in the BEST way. What started as a simple idea to help local families turned into an incredible outpouring of generosity, and we’re so excited to do it all over again! And this year? We’re hoping for our biggest and best drive yet! 🤩

𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀, 𝗷𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘅𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀, 𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀, 𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹𝘀, 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀, 𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗯𝗮𝗴𝘀 (𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲), 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲.

If you’re doing your grocery shopping Sunday, toss a few extra things in your cart and bring them our way. You never know when a box of granola bars, a ruler or a few notebooks might be the thing that makes a tough week just a little lighter for someone. Even one small donation can make a BIG difference to a local family. 🫶

⭐EVERY SINGLE DONATION stays right here in our community! All donations will head directly to the Community Support Centre of Essex County 's Food bank!⭐

You’ve proven it before, when our neighbours need a hand, Lakeshore shows up! Come see us, say hi, fill a bag, fill a cart, fill the table… heck, let’s fill the whole truck! Let’s make this year even bigger, even better, and remind our community what Lakeshore Helping Lakeshore is all about. 💙

🌸💝 THANK YOU, LAKESHORE! 💝🌸

Lakeshore Helping Lakeshore would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support our very first annual Spring Craft & Gift Show!

Because of the incredible support from our community, amazing vendors, shoppers, volunteers, and supporters, the event was a wonderful success. Together, we raised $418.80 along with a collection of non-perishable food items for the Community Support Centre of Essex County Food Bank. 🥫❤️

We are so grateful to every vendor who shared their creativity, talent, and passion, and to every person who stopped by to shop, donate, and celebrate with us. Your kindness and community spirit made this event truly special.

This was more than just a craft show — it was a reminder of what our community can accomplish when we come together to help one another.

Thank you again for helping us make a difference right here in Lakeshore. We already can’t wait for next year! 🌷✨
