Crews are still responding to issues caused by the intense rainfall and the significant impact on drainage and wastewater systems. All residents are urgently requested to continue to reduce water consumption and avoid all non-essential water usage until further notice.

We have been informed that a number of local residents have been observed jumping into and driving ATV’s in deep, fast moving water around Lamont County.

We must express how extremely dangerous these actions are. Please stay away from the overland flood waters as they can quickly overtake people.

Lamont County Emergency Services does not have the capability to provide water rescue services, please exercise extreme caution.

Town crews are working to protect residents from flooding. Some alleys and streets may be closed. Please stay away from the creek and water ways and reduce water consumption as much as possible. Thank you
