The West Coast Program is a community inclusion facility operating in the West Shore and currently serving 15 individuals. Our program offers a host of community-based and skill development orientated programs, offering our participants with diverse and enriching opportunities. Our goal is to aid individuals in developing their skills and abilities in a way that improves quality of life by facilit

ating their active involvement in both the home and community environment. Program offered at West Coast include baking, cooking, computers, reading and writing, nature hike, supported employment, swimming and many, many more! We believe in life long learning and utilize basic behaviour intervention techniques to facilitate the training and mastery of new skills. Interested in learning more about our program?

This year for Earth Day, we headed out to Goldstream Provincial Park for a full day of connection, creativity, and care for the planet.

We spent the morning working on our Earth Day Art Mural, followed by a fun scavenger hunt and a walk down to the Nature House. Afterward, we enjoyed a relaxed pizza picnic together in the fresh air.

Throughout the day, we shared conversations about our favourite things about the Earth and reflected on the small but meaningful ways we can help protect it. To wrap up our day, we did some litter cleanup in our local area.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of one of our beloved participants. For 15 years, he was the heart and soul of our art and gardening programs (and so many others). Happy Holidays, everyone!

We’ve been busy enjoying all the festive activities! We decorated West Coast for Christmas, visited the Bay Centre to admire the beautiful Christmas trees, and hosted our Annual Christmas Party!

A big thank you to everyone who attended the party—it was wonderful to see you all. The sing-along and games were a huge success!

Reminder for caregivers: We will be closed on December 25th, 26th, and January 1st.
