• Sept. 1st & 2nd: Third Floor Maintenance Closure (no Group Fitness or Children's Recreation programming)
• Sept. 3rd & 4th: Second Floor Maintenance Closure (no access to Fitness Floor)
• Sept. 5th –20th: Aquatic Centre Annual Maintenance Closure (all Pools and Hot Areas closed)
• Sept. 7th: Labour Day Statutory Holiday

Discover the Gentle Power of Tai Chi Cheng Style Tai Chi Chuan is a gentle form of exercise, ideal for people of all ages. This graceful, low-impact practice helps improve overall fitness, enhance balance and flexibility, and promote a sense of calm and well-being.

Through regular practice, you’ll build strength from within, develop better body awareness, and experience the harmony of mind and body.Your instructor, Paul, brings over 28 years of experience in Tai Chi and Chi-gung. He lives by the core Tai Chi principle that “softness overcomes hardness,” applying its wisdom both in his practice and everyday life. Whether you’re new to Tai Chi or looking to deepen your understanding, Paul’s thoughtful guidance makes the journey both rewarding and accessible.

We're Hiring: The Vancouver Island Y is looking for a Center Manager at Westhills Y in Langford BC.

Your Island Y is seeking a dynamic leader to lead operations for a great team, a variety of programs and services, members of all ages and to strengthen the roles of this recreation facility as a Centre of Community in the rapidly growing Westshore near Victoria, BC. We have been proudly operating in this region for 150 years as an independent charity that is both a YMCA and YWCA (one of only two such organizations in Canada). We are proudly celebrating ten years at this location, in close collaboration and partnership with the City of Langford.
