Metro Vancouver has announced that Stage 3 water restrictions will come into effect this Monday, June 8.

Stage 3 water restrictions will come into effect on June 8.

Under Stage 3, lawn watering is still prohibited. Trees, shrubs, and flowers can be watered by hand or drip irrigation only —no sprinklers or soaker hoses. And there will be additional restrictions on filling pools/hot tubs, and washing surfaces, vehicles, and boats.

Property tax statements have been mailed to property owners. Utility fees are billed separately and are not included in the tax statement. To avoid penalties, pay your property taxes and utility fees by Thursday, July 2.

There are several convenient ways to pay, including online banking, credit card (with a non-refundable 2.2% processing fee), in-person at your financial institution, or at the Civic Facility’s customer service counter or 24-hour drop boxes.

Join us this June at salishan Place by the River for National Indigenous History Month as we celebrate the cultures, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples.

🐾 Scats and Tracks: Saturday, June 6, 1 to 3pm | Learn how to identify wildlife through tracks, s**t, and skulls.

🌿 Edible Plants: Sunday, June 14, 1 to 3pm | Explore edible and medicinal plants—and which ones to avoid.

These free programs led by Karen Gabriel, Traditional Knowledge Keeper and Kwantlen First Nation Elder, offer a chance to learn, connect, and reflect together. Advance registration is required.

Experience a free screening of ‘Heard’ at Salishan Place by the River on Saturday, June 6 as part of National AcessAbility Week!

This Vancouver-made film follows Hard of Hearing (HoH) creatives across BC who use their hearing loss to further their practice as artists and creatives, offering a dramatic and comedic insight at living with hearing loss. Stay after for a Q&A session with filmmaker Brian Ceci!

Doors open at 5:30pm, film starts at 6pm in the Presentation Theatre at salishan Place by the River. Free admission, advance registration required.
