Bell Park has been revitalized with inclusive, sensory-supportive spaces that balance accessible play elements with responsive site design!

Mayor and council celebrated the opening of Bell Park in Brookswood with new barrier-free surfacing, expanded inclusive equipment like a wheelchair-transferable bouncer and sensory panels, and added social play features.

These improvements provide opportunities for kids to develop strength, balance, and motor skills, regulate their senses, and engage in meaningful, cooperative play — all while protecting the park’s mature trees and enhancing long-term comfort with added shade and accessible seating.

“It’s great to have these upgrades to Bell Park completed, and now as a space where kids of all abilities can enjoy being kids, regardless of ability. Thanks to the community for all their input in making this happen.” — Mayor Eric Woodward

this summer!

The Township of Langley is part of Metro Vancouver’s Regional Nuisance Mosquito Control Program. Monitoring of breeding sites is already underway, and larval treatments will begin as needed as Fraser River levels and temperatures rise.

Here's how you can help reduce local mosquito levels at home:

✔️ Remove standing water from your yard
✔️ Repair leaky outdoor taps
✔️ Clear blocked drains
✔️ Empty containers that collect water
✔️ Keep pond water circulating with a pump
