Giving Glasses Part 2!

While in Belize filming a documentary for The Rotary Club of Port Moody and the Belize Central Prison, Zach brought down 250 pairs of reading/prescription glasses for the prison. Cisco (pictured) was telling Zach that just 3 days before he dropped the glasses off, he was running into town to buy reading glasses. This goes to show that reading glasses are in high demand all over the world.

We still have hundreds of pairs left. Where should we bring them next?

Our Co-President Zach made this film while doing some Rotary work with Rotary Costalegre 2025 - 2026 last month!

Zach had a great time attending Rotary Costalegre 2025 - 2026 meeting today as well as handing off the glasses!

Early this morning Zach realized he had no way to transport the large amount of glasses on the bus, so he improvised and used his pillowcase! Rotarians are people of action!

After the meeting, he got tour the local seniors centre and hospital. Watch out for videos on that soon!

Next week he will be with RC Costalegre to do the vision clinic!

Our club was pleased to put together a box of glasses to go to Costalegre, Mexico with members of the club. Members of our club, and the , collected up some unused eyewear in less than 2 weeks.

Here, President Nominee Tara passes our box along to Ansh, president of The Rotaract Club of the Fraser Valley, who will add their glasses, before being delivered to President Zach of Langley Rotaract.
