Taming The Worry Dragons is coming!!

Next sessions of Taming the Worry Dragons group starts on September 15, 2026, followed by 8 in person sessions (parent and child attend together) from 5-6:30pm.

Taming the Worry Dragons (TWD) is a Psycho-Educational program using a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach. That is, focusing on how anxiety affects thoughts, feelings, and behaviors/ actions. We focus on different tools that parents can use with their child, or the child can learn to use on their own to de-intensify their anxiety. The essence of the TWD approach in positively reframe childhood anxiety and learn to challenge one’s personal anxiety using small and manageable doses of exposure of their fears to minimize their disruptiveness.

LCSS Parent Outreach Program!

The program provides FREE, confidential support for parents and caregivers who may be struggling with various challenges related to their children’s behavior, emotional well-being, or family dynamics. This program is designed to offer a safe space for parents to seek help when they feel overwhelmed or are facing conflicts with their children.

Through the program, parents and caregivers can access outreach workers who collaborate with families to provide guidance and resources. Support is available for families with children up to age 14, and services include parent education, access to learning resources, and connections to community services that can further assist with the family’s needs. The goal is to empower parents with the tools and knowledge to navigate challenges and improve family relationships.
