Yesterday, our child and youth bereavement team hosted our 2nd session of the Baking Together program, we are some of our youth clients come together and share a recipe that reminds them of their person who has died. Each week they create a different recipe together and talk about the memories of their person, and then share a yummy treat together, building, important connections, and a safe place to talk about their person and their feelings.

This week’s recipe was for banana boats, and they were a big hit! ♥️

Yesterday, our Child & Youth Bereavement Program hosted a NEW Children's Grief Book Club, where our youth clients received the book, PILU of the Woods, written and illustrated by Mai K. Nguyen, which they read a chapter of at home and think about a question, and each week they come together to talk about what they read, and their thoughts about the book, and then do an art activity together. This group is for our younger clients, and we will be hosting an offering for the teens in the New Year.

for our upcoming Planning for the Future Workshop on Saturday, October 24th, 2026 at Langley Meals on Wheels at 2900 - 272nd Street in Aldergrove.

This workshop is co-hosted by Langley Hospice Society and the Langley Community Health & Hospital Foundation and will help start some important conversations about health care and finances and planning for the future.
