Across Canada, Athletes in Action is showing up on university campuses - bringing together sport, life and faith in a way that helps athletes grow not just as players, but as people and children of God. Please be praying as our campus ministries kick off soon and student athletes return to school and sport!
At one of our campus Bible studies last year, an athlete came because a teammate invited them and they hear the gospel for the first time, understanding that as Ephesians 2:8-9 says ““For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift — not from works, so that no one can boast.” They understood for the first time that they don’t have to be perfect to go to heaven or start a relationship with God but humbly come to him knowing our fallen nature, “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
These are the moments that remind us what true victory looks like, on the field and beyond, and how God is moving within AIA!
