This week, we're introducing another member of the Langley City First team. Jeff Jacobs for Langley City Council will be seeking election this fall.

Born and raised in Langley, Jeff has deep roots in this community. A career municipal worker with over 20 years of experience, he has also given back through youth work, coaching, union service, and crime prevention. He and his wife are proud to call Langley City home, closely connected to family, friends, and the neighbourhoods he grew up in.

That lifelong commitment to safe streets, strong communities, and responsible growth continues as part of Langley City First.

This week, we're introducing another member of the Langley City First team. Shawn Caldera (Shawn Caldera for Langley City) will be seeking election this fall.

With a career in business and economic development and current work in the digital media industry, Shawn brings a fresh perspective on growth, innovation, and opportunity to Langley City. An active community member, he can be found leading local gaming groups, volunteering on City Advisory Committees, and taking in everything the city has to offer.

That enthusiasm for what Langley City can become, and a commitment to making sure residents have a seat at the table, continues as part of Langley City First.

This week, we're introducing another member of the Langley City First team. Heather Jenkins will be seeking election this fall.

A familiar face in Downtown Langley City, Heather is the owner of 1Fish 2Fish Fresh Seafood Market, a community institution she opened at 23 years old and has proudly operated for 28 years. A longtime volunteer with the Downtown Langley Business Association, she has spent nearly three decades helping strengthen the local business community.

That dedication to people, whether supporting youth, seniors, local schools, or community events, continues as part of Langley City First.

A Langley City resident since 1990, Paul has called this community home for over three decades, raising his family and building lasting roots here. A lifelong team sports player and coach, he brings that same collaborative spirit to council, welcoming different perspectives to reach the best decisions for the community.

The Langley City First team is growing.

We are proud to introduce three new candidates joining Mayor Nathan Pachal, Councillors Paul Albrecht, Mike Solyom, and Rosemary Wallace: Heather Jenkins, a Downtown Langley business owner and beloved community institution; Shawn Caldera, an entrepreneur and community builder who leads locals in recreational events throughout our city; and Jeff Jacobs, a lifelong Langley City resident, municipal worker, and labour movement leader.

Together, this team brings real experience, deep roots, and a genuine commitment to the people who live and work here.

A resident of the Uplands neighbourhood, Mike brings a practical, data-driven approach to City Hall as an economics and business statistics instructor at Douglas College. First elected in 2022, his focus has been on advancing housing affordability and expanding thoughtful mixed-use development.

Langley City First is announcing the first members of a united team for this fall’s municipal election. This group brings together independent voices committed to practical leadership, strong community connection, and responsible decision making.
