Over the past few weeks, our Middle and Senior School students have had the opportunity to connect with admissions representatives from universities across Canada and around the world. 🎓

From Mount Allison, the University of King’s College, and the University of Guelph to five UK universities, the University of Chicago, VIU, and the University of Calgary, these visits have given students valuable insight into the diverse programs, experiences, and pathways available after graduation.

With upcoming presentations from UVic and OzTREKK, exploring opportunities in Australia and New Zealand, there is even more to discover!

Thank you to all the university representatives who have taken the time to connect with our students and help them explore what their futures could hold. 👏

The Grade 2 students had an incredible time hosting a Family Job Fair, where parents and family members volunteered to share their professions. The classes are learning about people’s roles in our communities and how everybody has an impact on the world around them. 🗺️

From pilots to artists, our guest speakers brought their tools, uniforms, and amazing stories to life. Students spent the morning rotating through booths, listening, asking questions, and learning about the roles these adults play in our community.

Thank you to all the family members who volunteered to come in and share their careers with us! 👏

Today, on World Teachers’ Day, we celebrate the incredible educators who make Aspengrove such a special place to learn and grow. ❤️🍎

Teaching is so much more than what happens in the classroom. It’s the everyday conversations, encouragement, guidance, patience, and care that shape our students and the people they will become.

To our dedicated teachers, thank you for the passion, creativity, and commitment you bring to our school each day. The impact you make extends far beyond the classroom, and the lessons you share will stay with our students for years to come.

Happy World Teachers’ Day! We are grateful for all that you do! 👏💙

Today we celebrated our 3rd Annual Apple Harvest, bringing students from across the school together for a day of learning, and fresh apple juice! 🍎

A big thank you to everyone who donated apples for this year’s harvest. Our Grade 9 & 10 students, alongside Mr. Kaethler, hosted the apple pressing down at the Living Lab, where students from Junior School through Senior School stopped by to take part in the process and enjoy the festivities.

The day also included our 2nd Annual Middle School Apple Pie Contest, with some seriously impressive pies, creative designs, and delicious results. 🥧 A big thank you to all of our students who participated and put their baking skills to the test, and to our parent volunteers and teachers who had the very difficult job of judging!

Today, our Aspengrove community came together to recognize Orange Shirt Day and reflect on the importance of Truth and Reconciliation.

On Monday, our Junior School students gathered for an assembly, sharing stories and engaging in meaningful conversations about the importance of this day.

Today, our Middle and Senior School students led a thoughtful assembly, where we were honoured to welcome City of Nanaimo Councillor Janice Perrino. Together, we reflected on the truths of the past, the importance of listening and learning, and the role we can each play in building a future rooted in understanding, respect, and reconciliation. 🧡

Today, we welcomed the Tour de Rock riders to campus as they continue their incredible journey down Vancouver Island.

This annual visit holds a special place in our hearts. The dedication of these riders and their commitment to raising awareness and funds for the Canadian Cancer Society continue to inspire our entire school community.

Our students were out in full force, cheering on the riders, sharing their school spirit, and even spending some time with Ryder the Raccoon!

Thank you to the Tour de Rock team for all that you do. 💙💛🚴
