UPDATE July 16, 2026, at 4:00 pm: The LaSalle Outdoor Pool will continue to be closed tomorrow, Friday, July 17. The Town will continue to monitor air quality conditions and provide updates as they become available.

In response to the Air Quality Warning issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada, the Town of LaSalle has cancelled the following outdoor recreation programs until further notice:
โก๏ธ LaSalle Outdoor Pool (Front Road and Laurier Drive)
โก๏ธ Parks Power Hour (Thursday, July 16)
These cancellations have been put in place to protect the health and safety of participants and staff.
โฝ Sport field closures are at the discretion of individual user groups. Residents participating in organized sports are encouraged to contact their league or organization directly for information about practices, games, and cancellations.
๐ฅ During heavy smoke conditions, everyone's health is at risk. Environment and Climate Change Canada recommends limiting time outdoors. Recreational and open fires are not permitted in LaSalle while the Air Quality Warning remains in effect.
๐ข Looking for relief from the smoke? Residents may visit the Vollmer Centre, LaSalle Civic Centre, or the LaSalle Branch of the Essex County Library during regular operating hours.

UPDATE July 18, 2026: The LaSalle Outdoor Pool will continue to be closed today. Sport Fields are open for use with limited maintenance, and at the discretion of individual user groups. Residents who are registered with or participate in organized sports at Town-owned sports fields are encouraged to contact their league or organization directly for information about practices, games, and cancellations.
