East Elementary School

East Elementary School East Elementary School has been serving the surrounding area for over 70 years. East Elementary School is a K - Grade 6 school.

The school, built in 1954, currently accommodates students in our Kindergarten and Grades 1-6 classes. We are a smaller school in the heart of Leduc. We have strong educational programming, a variety of extra curricular opportunities, character education assemblies, but most importantly we are a connected community with lots of eagle pride! Please remember to be respectful and courteous to others on this page.

Our grade 4’s, 5’s, and 6’s, took to the water recently at Telford Lake for some Dragon Boating. We were hosted by the Leduc Boating Club who taught the students about water safety and rowing techniques before getting into boats for some hands-on experience in the lake. Thanks to everyone who facilitated this event and to our parent volunteers for braving the water alongside staff and students!

We’re having "Anything But a Water Bottle Day" on Friday, June 12th!

The challenge? Students must bring their water in any container except a standard water bottle. Think watering cans, clean honey bears, or even a trophy!

The Quick Rules:

No Glass: For safety, please use plastic or metal.
Leak-Proof: Ensure it won't create a mess on desks.
Manageable: It should be easy for your child to carry.

If you have a Brickhouse Smokery order form sitting on your counter or tucked away in a backpack, don't forget to send it in! Those orders for pulled pork, jerky, and all the other goodies are due back to the school tomorrow, May 14.

We want to make sure everyone gets their treats on time, so please try to get those forms and payments in first thing in the morning.

Tomorrow is the Big Night!

We are so excited to see everyone at our Spring Dance tomorrow, May 14th! Here is a quick checklist to make sure you're ready for a great evening:

Quick Info:

Cost: $5 in cash per family

Time: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Supervision: Please remember that all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the dance.

Concessions: If you’d like to purchase snacks, drinks, or fun trinkets, please bring cash, as we will not be able to accept cards.

We’re looking forward to a fun night of music and community. See you tomorrow in the gym!
