Hello Everyone! Staff Appreciation time again!

We are blessed with such a wonderful team of staff at East Elementary...Taco about fantastic! We invite you to help celebrate them with our last staff appreciation event this school year...

If you have a Brickhouse Smokery order form sitting on your counter or tucked away in a backpack, don't forget to send it in! Those orders for pulled pork, jerky, and all the other goodies are due back to the school tomorrow, May 14.

We want to make sure everyone gets their treats on time, so please try to get those forms and payments in first thing in the morning.

Tomorrow is the Big Night!

We are so excited to see everyone at our Spring Dance tomorrow, May 14th! Here is a quick checklist to make sure you're ready for a great evening:

Quick Info:

Cost: $5 in cash per family

Time: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Supervision: Please remember that all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the dance.

Concessions: If you’d like to purchase snacks, drinks, or fun trinkets, please bring cash, as we will not be able to accept cards.

We’re looking forward to a fun night of music and community. See you tomorrow in the gym!

Hello East Families!

Chef Bingo is so Excited! He can't wait to announce our Spring Sprint Bingo Winners!

Our last Bingo was Saturday May 2nd; 11 ingredients and slices were added to our trays!

To our parent volunteers who put in the time at the Bingo Hall
To our many community volunteers who donate their time filling shifts to help our school
To our Pizza Party Sponsors - Trek Homes, Trever Hekink , Leduc Florists, Sarah Kesterke , EXP Realty - Tara F***g & the East Elementary Parents' Association, and a kind community donor
To our Bingo Coordinator Sarah Kesterke who covers shifts, swaps shifts, coordinates shifts, and is kind and generous in a way that attracts people in our community to pitch in for us.
Some Bingo Stats
East Elementary worked 10 Bingos this school year.
Our combined efforts have earned over $4000; ~1/3 of total PA fundraising
and 5 Pizza Parties for our teams (every class is participating in a party),
The Spring Sprint Pizza Party Winners ARE:

Kindy, 4K ...A very generous community volunteer who has worked Bingo's for us wanted everyone to be included and has donated so you get a party too!

🚲 Community Bike Rodeo – May 23, 2026 🚲

Join us for a fun, hands-on morning of cycling safety, skill-building, and community connection at our upcoming Bike Rodeo, hosted by the Leduc RCMP and community partners! Register here for the Bike Rodeo.



📅 Date: May 23, 2026🕙 Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

This family-friendly event is designed to help young riders build confidence and learn important bike safety skills—all while having a great time. Participants can enjoy a variety of interactive stations, including:

Super cool bike decorating supplies
Helmet safety checks
An obstacle course and mini street-light course
Learning proper hand signals and safe riding practices
Bike maintenance tips and tire pressure checks
Bike Index registration for added security
5 Bikes to give away in a draw – “Win your first set of wheels” courtesy of DK Ford!


Bring your bike and a helmet – if you don’t have a helmet – we have one for you courtesy of Canadian Tire and Sport Central.



Stick around for snacks and a community BBQ, where families can connect, meet local officers, and celebrate safe cycling together. All proceeds from the BBQ are going towards supporting BGC Leduc's expansion efforts to build a community Youth Centre!



Come ride, learn, and connect with us—let’s build a safer, stronger community together. 🚴‍♀️

And the fun doesn't end there...Participants are welcomed to join us the very next day on 📅 Sunday May 24, 2026🕙 Time: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM at Telford Lake, north of Lede Fields to participate in a special "Kids Festivus of Gravel" cycling race. Participants will take home a medal!!!
