🍂 FALL LEAF COLLECTION IS COMING! 🍂

Coalhurst’s annual Fall Leaf Collection Program returns on Monday, October 26!

Getting your yard ready for winter is easy:

🍁 Place your leaves, plants, flowers and other compostable yard waste in brown paper yard-waste bags.

📅 Have your bags at the curb by 7:30 a.m. on Monday, October 26.

🛍️ Need bags? Brown paper bags are available for free pickup at the Town Office — maximum 5 bags per household — or can be purchased at various retailers.

Please remember: Only brown paper bags will be collected. Materials in plastic bags, bins, boxes or other containers will not be picked up, and there will be no callbacks for improper bagging.

Prefer to drop off your yard waste? The Community Organics Bin is available at the Coalhurst Recycling Depot behind the Fire Hall.

🚧 Repair work is planned to begin Monday, October 12 on two approximately 50-metre sections of the Wetlands pathway.

Construction is expected to take about two weeks, weather permitting, and is part of planned reconstruction intended to improve the pathway’s durability and long-term performance.

The work is being completed in phases so the Town can see how the reconstructed sections perform through the winter and into spring 2027 before moving ahead with the remainder of the pathway.

📍 The sections affected by this phase of work are highlighted in blue on the map.

During construction, portions of the pathway will be temporarily closed or restricted. Please avoid active construction areas, follow all posted signs and barriers, and use caution around crews and equipment.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation while this work is underway.

Much of Lisa’s volunteering happens behind the scenes, but her generosity and steady support make a real difference to those around her.

Thank you, Lisa, for your caring nature, reliability, and commitment to helping others!
