Monkey bars, levelled up. 🐒⚡

Cougar Park in Lethbridge has some serious overhead action. Blue Imp’s Classic Horizontal Ladder connects to the Dot to Dot, the Super Hooper and the Crossover, so every direction is a new challenge. Bold blue, lime and pink make it pop against the green park, and kids can mix and match routes as their skills grow.

Same grip-building fun you remember, just a whole lot more exciting.

This Thanksgiving, we're feeling grateful. 🍁

Grateful for the schools, parents, communities and families who trust us to help build the places where kids climb, race, laugh and make memories that last.

Grateful for our crew, who put care into every design, weld and install, right here in Alberta.

And grateful for every kid who has ever yelled "watch this!" from the top of a slide.

Thank you for letting us be part of your community. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at BDI Play Designs. 🧡

Ready, set, climb. 🏁

Our newest agility course just opened at Dr. Martha Cohen School in Calgary. Arched climbers, rope nets, a tower and slide, and a finish line to race to.

Obstacle courses build strength, balance and confidence, and kids love the challenge. Ours are designed and built in Alberta for prairie weather.

Tarmac to the busiest spot on the playground, in one day. 🏐

Check out the Economy GaGa Ball Pit at Tuscany School in NW Calgary — recycled plastic, built for Calgary winters, and installed in a single school day. By the next bell, it was pure chaos (the good kind).

Durable, eco-friendly, budget-friendly. Full project story in comments 👇

School is officially back! 🎒

For thousands of kids, this week means new classrooms, new teachers, and brand-new adventures. But some of the biggest milestones happen right outside the classroom walls.

The playground is where kids learn to navigate friendships, find their brave, and take a much-needed break to just be kids.

We want to wish all the students, teachers, and families an incredible start to the 2026-2027 school year.

We can't wait to see these spaces filled with laughter, energy, and play over the coming months.
Have a wonderful first week back! ✨

Want to make your surfacing work a little harder? 🛠️

Integrating custom FallSAFE® Pour-in-Place (PIP) rubber graphics is an incredibly low-maintenance way to transform a standard surface into something meaningful, long-lasting, and highly functional.

Scroll through the photos below to see a few projects our teams have brought to life!
➡️Because our systems are applied seamlessly on-site, we can precision-craft almost any design directly into the wear-layer:
🔹 Directional arrows & lines to guide foot traffic along pathways
🔹 Agility circuits & numbers for active fitness zones
🔹 Custom community logos & branding that won't fade or peel
🔹 Interactive shapes & games for inclusive play areas
🔹 Important symbols and icons for placemaking

FallSAFE® provides a smooth, durable, and highly accessible surface—making it the ideal fit for multi-use paths, community hubs, fitness zones, and playgrounds.

Have a unique design or concept in mind for an upcoming project? We’d love to help you map it out.
