There are around 60 smaller-scale commercial data centers are already operational across Alberta.

Dozens of massively large-scale sata centres are being proposed. Requiring massive amounts of water and electricity.

Danielle Smith and UCP government have basically said AI data centres are coming to Alberta, whether you like it or not.

Danielle Smith and the UCP, who are taking cues from foreign billionaires, while ignoring public consultation.

The Alberta NDP is launching a listening tour, this August, both in person and online because we want to hear where you stand on AI data centres.

Please join us. Please have your say, and together we will make good decisions for Alberta.

Had a great day at the Whoop-Up Days Parade today. More photos to come!

A big thank you to all of our volunteers who came out to hand out Canada flags and walk alongside NDP Leader Naheed Nenshi and me.

I always enjoy walking in the parade, shaking hands, meeting people and chatting with folks along the way. It is a great opportunity to connect with our community.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a great day!

The Alberta Utilities Commission has rejected the AI data centre power plant in Olds, deciding there is no good reason to build it next to homes.

This comes months after Danielle Smith announced the centre via social media and championed the project.

This is exactly why the Alberta NDP launched our AI Data Centre Consultation Tour.

Engaging families, landowners and Indigenous communities in the process, instead of just rubber stamping projects for foreign billionaires, is the way to build community support and ensure projects are done properly.

Join the Lethbridge Constituency Associations for the ridings' Annual General Meeting.

This is a great opportunity to learn about the work we need to do to win the next election and meet the folks who are letting their names stand for positions on the Executive and Members at Large. The board is responsible for organizing all the Alberta NDP activities to prepare for the next election campaign, ranging from connecting with voters, hosting social events, recruiting volunteers and raising money.

If you’re new to party politics, and want to get more involved, this is a great place to start, and we are always looking for more help.

To vote or run for the Executive (President, Treasurer, etc.) and join the board you must hold an active Alberta NDP membership.
