Our Opokaa'sin Pookaiks have been enjoying the sunshine through outdoor adventures, messy play, risky play, and even a relaxing spa day inside! ☀️🫧🎨

These experiences help support creativity, confidence, independence, problem-solving, and emotional well-being, all through play and exploration. Learning doesn’t have to be complicated, sometimes simple materials, curiosity, and time to explore are all children need! 🥰

Register for Traditional Jewelry Making with Aakiiks Aatso'tohkima - Women Coming Together to Work Project in collaboration with Opokaa'sin Early Intervention Society!

Our workshop series this Saturday is open to Indigenous women, girls, and 2S+ people who are interested in strengthening cultural knowledge and developing skills that can support economic security and self-sufficiency.

This Saturday participants will be working with Kapssi (Silver Berry) and learning the process of traditional jewelry making in a supportive, community-centered environment, while connecting with others and building natural support networks.

Rooted in a strength-based, Indigenous approach, this workshop also aligns with our broader goal of supporting participants through education, cultural connection, and skill development, while increasing access to community supports and opportunities.
