This Thanksgiving, we are grateful for those who continue to serve and keep our communities safe while others spend time with family and friends.

To our uniform and civilian members working throughout the holiday weekend, thank you. Your dedication, commitment, and time away from loved ones do not go unnoticed.

From all of us at the Lindsay Police Association, we wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving! 🍁

The Lindsay Police Association was proud to have Civilian Directors Christina Bean and Parker Cunday, alongside President Dylan Robichaud (the LPA’s first civilian President and one of only two civilian police association presidents in Ontario), attend the 2026 PAO Civilian Conference in Belleville.

Two great days of learning, discussion and connecting with associations from across Ontario on issues important to civilian members.

Thank you to the Belleville Police Association for being fantastic hosts and to the Police Association of Ontario for bringing everyone together. We’re coming home with new ideas, stronger connections and plenty to build on for our members!

⛳ This past Friday, we held our annual LPA Golf Tournament for our members!

It was great to see so many of our members come out for a round of golf, great food, plenty of laughs, and some amazing prizes generously donated by businesses and supporters throughout our community.

Events like this are about much more than golf. They give our uniform and civilian members a chance to step away from the day-to-day demands of the job, spend time together, build connections and simply enjoy each other’s company.

A strong Association is also about creating opportunities that bring our membership together, and we’re proud to continue supporting social events like this for our members.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day possible, to all of our members who joined us, and especially to the local businesses and community partners who generously donated prizes and supported the event.

Another great LPA Golf Tournament in the books.. we’re already looking forward to next year! ⛳🏌️

Today, on Police and Peace Officers’ National Memorial Day, we remember.

The LPA joins police and peace officers from across Canada in honouring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

Behind every name remembered today is a life of service, a family who carries their memory, colleagues who served alongside them, and a community forever touched by their sacrifice.

To the families, friends and colleagues of our fallen, we stand with you. Their service will always be remembered, their sacrifice will always be honoured, and their legacy will live on through those who continue to serve.

They are our heroes. We shall not forget them. 🇨🇦

A very productive day of conversations, sharing experiences and discussing the issues impacting our members. These opportunities to connect with colleagues across the province are invaluable as we continue advocating for our members here at home.

Our hearts are with the Durham Regional Police Association and the entire Durham Regional Police Service as they mourn the tragic loss of one of their members.

A loss like this reaches far beyond one Service or one community, and we know there are people here at home who are also hurting today. We extend our deepest condolences to the member’s family, friends, colleagues, and everyone impacted by this heartbreaking loss.

Today, and in the days ahead, please take a moment to check in on one another. Reach out to a colleague, a friend, or someone who may be carrying more than we realize. Sometimes simply knowing someone is there can make a difference.

To the family, friends, and our colleagues in Durham, we grieve with you and stand beside you during this incredibly difficult time.

LPA President Dylan Robichaud was pleased to join fellow association presidents from across Ontario for an important discussion focused on member safety and advocacy.

As violence against police officers continues to rise, leaders came together to discuss practical solutions, strengthen our collective voice, and advance advocacy efforts aimed at better protecting the men and women who serve our communities.

Thank you to the Police Association of Ontario for bringing us together to address these important issues. Together, we are stronger.

In response to the recent increase in violence against police officers, association presidents gathered for the All Presidents Meeting: Aligning on Member Safety and Advocacy. This urgent, solutions-focused discussion centered on advancing strategies to protect our members and strengthen advocacy efforts.

Key highlights:

- Addressed proactive public safety communication, the realities and challenges of policing in Canada, oversight and accountability, justice system responses, and the urgent need for effective mental health and substance abuse treatment.
- Heard diverse perspectives from presidents across the province, bringing new priorities to light and ensuring every voice was heard.
- Outlined actionable next steps for both provincial and federal advocacy, and set the path for ongoing member engagement.

Thank you to everyone who contributed their insight and commitment to building a unified response to these critical challenges.

Our hearts are with our brothers and sisters at the Durham Regional Police Association and the Durham Regional Police Service following today's tragic loss.

On behalf of the Lindsay Police Association, we extend our deepest condolences and stand with the entire Durham policing family during this incredibly difficult time. 💙🖤

Today, the Durham Regional Police Service is mourning a profound loss following a tragic motor vehicle collision near the Ontario Police College involving two Constables in Training (CIT) who were travelling to training.

It is with deep sadness that I share that one CIT has lost their life, while the other remains in life-threatening condition.

During this difficult time, our focus is on supporting the families of our CIT's, as well as their classmates, instructors, friends, and members of our Service who are grieving this tragic loss. We will continue to ensure they receive the care and support they need.

We ask that the public respect the privacy of the families and all those affected as they navigate this unimaginable tragedy, and as notifications continue.

The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police, and we will not be providing any further details at this time.
