We only see a small part of what someone else may be going through. đź’ś

A delayed reply, a quiet day, or a change in someone's mood doesn't always tell the whole story. Before jumping to conclusions, give people a little grace.

You never know what someone is carrying behind the scenes.

Instead of assuming, check in. Listen. Be kind. 🫶

Sometimes “I’m fine” is the easiest answer when “I’m not okay” feels too difficult to say. 💜

Maybe you don't want to worry anyone. Maybe you're still trying to understand what you're feeling yourself. Or maybe you simply don't know where to begin.

You don't need to have the perfect words. You can start with “I'm having a hard time” or “I don't really know how I'm feeling.”

And if someone you care about seems different lately, a simple “How are you really doing?” can open the door to a conversation. 🫶

Sometimes, being heard is the first step toward feeling less alone.

Abuse isn’t always physical. It can look like controlling who you see, monitoring where you go, threatening or intimidating you, controlling your money, or pressuring you to do things you don’t want to do.

Whatever form it takes, there’s never an excuse for abuse.

If something doesn’t feel right and you want to talk, the Canadian Human Trafficking Hotline is here to listen.

Belonging matters more than we sometimes realize.

Feeling accepted, supported, and connected can have a meaningful impact on how we experience our mental health. Having a place where you feel seen, heard, and valued can make a difference.

Whether it’s a friend, family member, school, workplace, or community—everyone deserves to feel like they belong. 🌱

Sometimes, something as simple as including someone, checking in, or reminding them that they matter can go a long way.

You belong. You matter. Your presence matters. đź’ś

Behind every statistic is a person.

Mental health challenges can affect anyone, and reaching out for support can be an important part of navigating them. While these numbers highlight the challenges many girls and young women experience, they also remind us how important it is to create spaces where people feel safe asking for help. đź’ś

You don't have to wait until things feel overwhelming to reach out. Talking to someone you trust, connecting with a support service, or simply letting someone know you're struggling can be a meaningful first step.

Healthy relationships are built on respect, trust and support.

If a relationship feels controlling or coercive, or someone is pressuring you to do things you don’t want to do, these may be warning signs of exploitation or human trafficking.

If you ever need someone to talk to, the Canadian Human Trafficking Hotline is here to listen:

Your screen time doesn't always end when you put your phone down.

What we do on our devices—especially in the hours before bed—can be connected to how well we sleep and how we feel the next day.

Sometimes taking a break isn't about giving up your screen completely. It's about creating a little space between you and your screen so your mind and body have time to slow down. đź’ś

Try putting the phone away a little earlier tonight and giving yourself some screen-free time before bed. Your future self might thank you. 🌙✨
