🍽️ It’s Meals on Wheels Week!

A few hours can make a big difference. For Meals on Wheels volunteer driver Guy, delivering meals is about more than dropping off food. It’s about the connections he makes along the way and knowing he’s making a difference right here in his community.

During Meals on Wheels Week, we’re celebrating volunteers like Guy who give their time to deliver nutritious meals, offer a friendly check-in and help community members stay supported and independent at home.

Celebrating the heart of Community Care!

Last night, we had the pleasure of celebrating the incredible volunteers who give their time, energy and compassion to support our community.

Our Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner was an evening filled with great food, music, prizes, laughter and, most importantly, gratitude. It was our chance to say thank you to the amazing people who make such a difference every day.

We were also proud to celebrate our Volunteer Service Award recipients, recognizing those who have reached incredible milestones of 5, 10, 15 and 20 years of volunteering with Community Care. What an incredible commitment to our community!

To every Community Care volunteer: thank you for all that you do. The impact of kindness is felt all across our community. We are so grateful to have you as part of the Community Care family.

And a special thank you to for providing the music and helping make the evening so much fun! We loved having you join us for the celebration.

You’re invited to our Community Town Hall Tour!

Join Ross Memorial Hospital for an in-depth look at local cancer care and supportive services, along with updates on RMH’s Master Planning and major projects.

The Central Regional Cancer Program - Prevention & Screening, Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes, and Ross Memorial hospital will be sharing information and answering your questions.

Haliburton Highlands Health Services will also be presenting in Coboconk and Fenelon Falls.

📍 Four community locations: Coboconk • Pontypool • Fenelon Falls • Lindsay
🕕 6:00–7:30 p.m. | Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

These free sessions are an opportunity to learn more about healthcare services close to home and connect with members of our local healthcare team.
