The RM of Lipton No. 217 has received a small shipment of 2% liquid strychnine for Richardson's ground squirrel control.

Strychnine is available to eligible producers only. Before contacting the RM office, producers must complete the required SARM online training and download or save their certificate of completion.

Please wait two business days after completing the training before contacting the RM office for purchase, as training must be verified.

Producers will also be required to complete the Treatment Plan and Declaration Form, provide land locations for review, and follow all label, monitoring, record-keeping, and stewardship requirements.

Training Window: May 4, 2026 to August 1, 2026

Application Window: July 15, 2026 to September 1, 2026

Supplies are limited and per-producer limits may apply.
