✨The halls are ready, the classrooms are waiting, and Ms. Reisiger, Mme Julie, Ms. Kimmy and Ms. McCauley are so excited to welcome staff, students and families back for another wonderful school year! 💙

The countdown is almost over… Tuesday is the day! We can’t wait to welcome back all of our returning students and meet the newest members of the Walden Heat!

As another incredible school year comes to a close, we want to thank our amazing students, families, staff, and community for your support, kindness, and partnership throughout the year. Together, we’ve celebrated milestones, created lasting memories, and watched our students learn, grow, and thrive.

We wish all of our families a safe, relaxing, and joyful summer filled with fun, laughter, and time with the people you love. Thank you for being such an important part of our school community.

⚾️ Go Jays Go! 💙
Our Grade 4/5 students had an exciting opportunity to participate in the Blue Jays Care program!
Through this incredible initiative, our school received sponsored baseball equipment and clothing for our students. Throughout the program, students developed their baseball skills while learning the importance of teamwork, respect, perseverance, and good sportsmanship.
A huge thank you to Blue Jays Care for investing in our students and helping make physical activity fun and accessible. We are grateful for this wonderful opportunity and can’t wait to put our new equipment to good use!

What a day! 15 athletes from Walden competed at the Champions Meet on Tuesday. Gracie Currie claimed🥈out of all 5/6 female competitors finishing 3rd in 80m, 2nd in 100m and 1st in 200m.
The junior boys took home the RDSB banner for top results in their division and sweeping the individual aggregate medals!!

Last week, we proudly celebrated the grand opening of Phase One of our new playground!

This exciting milestone would not have been possible without the incredible support of our families, community members, local businesses, and sponsors. We are so grateful to everyone who contributed to our Playground Renewal Initiative and helped bring this vision to life for our students.

During the celebration, we took the opportunity to thank our supporters and share some exciting news, Phase Two of our playground project is coming this fall! We can't wait to continue creating an amazing outdoor space where our students can play, learn, and grow.

We were honoured to welcome Caroline Ehrhardt to Walden Public School prior to her induction into the Greater Sudbury Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2026.

Caroline shared her inspiring journey as a record-setting Canadian triple jumper, coach, and Hall of Fame inductee. Students and staff were moved by her powerful message about perseverance, resilience, and the importance of believing in yourself even when the path to your goals is not a straight one.

Thank you, Caroline, for taking the time to visit our school and inspire our students to keep working toward their dreams. Congratulations on this well-deserved honour!
