🥈⚾Congratulations to our Junior Softball Team who earned a silver medal yesterday at the MacLeod Softball Tournament. We are so proud of the determination, teamwork and heart demonstrated by everyone during each game!

And don't worry, the season isn't quite over yet. The team will participate in one more tournament next week!

🧡 Every Child Matters 🧡

Walden Public School is honouring Truth and Reconciliation by creating and displaying orange T-shirts along our school fence. Each shirt is a reminder to remember, learn, listen, and honour the children and families impacted by residential schools.

We remember. We honour. We learn. 🧡

Last week, some of our kindergarteners took a special garden walk to connect with the Land and gather apples, tomatoes, and sunflowers. 🍅🌻 Guided by a spirit of gratitude, they held a circle to thank Shkagamik-Kwe (Mother Earth) and the generous neighbours who shared their harvest with them, before making fresh applesauce to enjoy together. 🍏🥣
Learning to respect the Land and grow with kindness is how our littlest learners practice good relationships with the world and each other every single day. 🌱✨
