💚 Happy ECE Appreciation Day! 💚

Today, we celebrate the amazing Early Childhood Educators and child care professionals who make a difference in the lives of children and families in our child care, school age and EarlyON programs!

At Heritage Green Child Care Inc., we are so fortunate to have a team of caring, dedicated and passionate individuals who help children learn, grow, explore and feel a sense of belonging.

Nancy also worked as an EarlyON facilitator on the Saturday team where she continued to support children and families while they played at Valley Park EarlyON. Our deepest condolences to Nancy's husband, children and family.

Our Heritage Green family is heartbroken by the passing of our beloved educator and friend, Nancy Mendes Romyn.

In honour of Nancy's memory, and to allow our staff to attend her funeral, our child care and school age program at Heritage Green Child Care, located at St. James the Apostle School will be closed on Friday October 16th.

Nancy brought kindness, compassion, and warmth to everything she did. Through her years at Heritage Green, she touched the lives of countless children, families, and staff members. She had a special way of seeing the good in everyone and making each child feel cared for, valued, and loved.

Nancy led our Butterfly group in the preschool room, and the children and staff created a handprint butterfly for her family. We will be bringing it to the funeral home as a small symbol of the love and gratitude we have for Nancy and the lasting impact she had on our Heritage Green family.

Our deepest condolences go to Nancy's husband James, her children, Braydon and Joshua, and all of her family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. We hope they find comfort in knowing how deeply Nancy was loved and how many lives she touched.

GREAT NEWS!! Starting Monday September 21st and every Monday after, our EarlyON will open the doors for drop-in at 10:30am. We have these extended hours temporarily until the end of December. In January, we will go back to our original schedule.

Ask a Professional are sessions that occur within EarlyON drop-in programs. Additional professional, like a Speech and Language pathologist, a Resource Consultant, and /or a Home Management Worker, etc are in the room to support both EarlyON facilitators and visiting families. These professionals are approachable to ask specific questions you may have about your child’s development, can provide resources, help with referrals and /or support you in an area of need. No pre-registration is required.
