The London Housing Registry has been assisting low-income families who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless in the City of London since 1984. Our Mission: “To provide support to homeless and/or those at risk of becoming homeless find and maintain permanent housing in the private market.”

Our Vision: “Continuing to develop a

lternative options to decrease the barriers of finding a home.”

The London Housing Registry is a non-profit organization that assists individuals and families in a housing crisis. Readily available from our office, clients are interviewed through an intake process that provides them with free housing services and a direct link to the private housing market. The LHR lists affordable non-governmental vacant units with local property management companies, private landlords, and matches clients based on their needs. We are a non-profit charitable agency and LHR services are free for clients. TO ACCESS OUR FREE SERVICE, please make sure you are in our office before 2:30 pm, no appointments necessary. Our Background

The London Housing Registry has been assisting low-income families who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless in the City of London since 1984. Some of the causes leading to a crisis are:

Loss of income
Unexpected medical bills
Relationship or marital breakdown
Sudden illness or accident
Vehicle breakdown

The Registry lists vacant units with local property management companies and landlords, and matches families and individuals based on their needs. Our Housing Intake Workers will act on behalf of tenants and landlords on matters relating to housing. Services Offered:

The London Housing Registry maintains listings of rental properties available in the private market. The LHR offers individual consultation, advocacy, and mediation for those in need of assistance. Workshops are offered on housing related issues, such as, homelessness, how to obtain and maintain housing, and dealing with the Residential Tenancies Act. LHR acts on behalf of tenants and landlords on matters related to housing.

No appointment is required to register with the agency as it operates a drop in service from Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 3:00pm. Registration needs to be in person and normally takes about 20 minutes.
