West Oaks joined the Ontario Federation of Home and School Associations (OFHSA) in October 2011. OFHSA is a province-wide network of dedicated members founded in 1969, committed to informed and proactive involvement in our homes, our schools and our communities, to obtain the "Best for Each Student". Members of the West Oaks Home & School benefit from this affiliation through opportunities to infl
uence public policy, a member support system, annual meetings, leadership training, training workshops, monthly association mailings, an electronic information newsletter and liability insurance during events. Whether you attend and participate at meetings, take on an executive role or join a sub- committee in an area that interests you, your involvement will be greatly appreciated. To become a member of the West Oaks Home & School Association there is a membership fee of $15 per year, per individual or family. These fees are paid to the Ontario Federation of Home and School Associations and cover the expenses of the organization (the OFHSA website, office space, one paid staff person, meeting expenses, photocopying, The Bulletin newspaper), member liability insurance and the provision of member resources and training.
