Dating back to 1877, Labatt Memorial Park is recognized as the world’s oldest continually operating baseball grounds, making it an incredible piece of both London’s history and baseball heritage. New to Doors Open London this year, Mushkeeki Gitigan invites Londoners to gather at South Branch Park for a day centred around Indigenous teachings, traditions, and connection. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn from Elders and firekeepers while discovering the importance of the land, medicines, food, and community.

Throughout the day, visitors can:
🔥 Gather around a sacred fire and learn from Indigenous knowledge keepers
🌿 Discover teachings about sacred medicines, the Three Sisters, and the medicine garden
🥁 Experience drum music and Indigenous culture

Celebrate the people working to preserve London’s architectural history with the Heritage London Foundation during Doors Open London 2026! 🏡💚

Founded in 1981, the Heritage London Foundation was created at a time when many of London’s architectural treasures were being lost. Since then, the charitable organization has worked to preserve, protect, and promote London’s built heritage for present and future generations.

Today, the Foundation cares for two of London’s treasured historic properties — Grosvenor Lodge and the Elsie Perrin Williams Estate — finding new uses for these remarkable spaces while preserving the history and character that make them special.

Through heritage preservation, educational initiatives, community partnerships, events, and public programming, the Foundation helps ensure that London’s historic places and the stories connected to them continue to be appreciated for generations to come. 🏛️🌿

Built in 1853 for Samuel and Ann Peters, Grosvenor Lodge is a beautiful example of Gothic Revival architecture and a treasured part of London’s built heritage.
