Our crews are still cleaning up and responding to tree damage across London following last week's storm.

As you pick up branches and debris around your home, here are a few helpful reminders for your next Green Week collection:

• You can find your neighborhood's Green Week schedule at london.ca/CollectionCalendar.
• Tree limbs at the curb should be 10 cm or less in diameter and cut into 1 metre lengths to help us pick them up
• Tie any loose brush into bundles
• Make sure your yard waste and branches do not block the sidewalk, bike lane, or road
• Damaged private trees on private property are the homeowner’s responsibility to remove or manage safely

Our EnviroDepots are also available for you to drop off larger brush, tree limbs, and yard waste at no cost. Visit london.ca/EnviroDepots to learn about locations and hours.

Thank you for helping keep our community safe, accessible, and clean.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to Rescue Rendezvous at The Catty Shack this past Saturday!

Despite the weather, we saw large crowds, plenty of happy visitors, and 27 cat adoptions between London Animal Care Centre and local rescues. A new one-day record!

That’s 27 cats heading home to start their next chapter, and 27 families with a little more love, fur and chaos in their lives.

Mayor Josh Morgan was also among those who stopped by and adopted a cat.

Thank you to the rescues, staff, volunteers and everyone who helped make the day such a success!

As Public Works Week wraps up, we’re proud to recognize the incredible work happening behind the scenes to keep our city running smoothly.

Hear from Director of Transportation and Mobility Doug MacRae as he shares his thanks to our dedicated Public Works professionals and the community who attended our event.

We were proud to celebrate together at this year’s Touch-A-Truck event on May 23, where residents of all ages joined us at the Adelaide Operations Centre to explore City equipment and meet the people who keep London running. 🚛

The event also featured the exciting reveal of our “Name a Sweeper” contest winners: Kevin and Beeper the Sweeper!
