Thank you Children's Health Foundation for inviting us to your media kick off for Miracle Treat Day! We were honoured to meet your Patient Ambassador Family ❤️ and be part of this kick off this morning!

LONDON, ON – Participating Dairy Queen ® locations in London and across Canada will celebrate DQ Miracle Treat Day on Thursday, August 13, donating 100% of net proceeds from every Blizzard® Treat sold to Children’s Hospital, the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital beneficiary. As part of this year’s celebration, a Children’s Health Foundation Patient Ambassador family will be on-site to share their story, and the difference donor-funded care has made in their lives.

“Days like Miracle Treat Day remind us how much a community can accomplish when it comes together for children”, says Scott Fortnum, President and CEO at Children’s Health Foundation.

DQ has been partnering with Children’s Miracle Network for over 40 years. Since 1984, DQ Canada has raised more than $55 million in support of children’s hospitals – over $2.3 million of which came from Miracle Treat Day 2024 alone.

“Every Blizzard sold today translates directly into equipment, treatments, and comfort for the children and families we care for at Children’s Hospital. We’re deeply grateful to Dairy Queen, their franchisees and staff, and every guest who stops in – your support genuinely changes what’s possible for our patients,” says Fortnum.

Funds raised on Miracle Treat Day help 13 children’s hospitals across the country. The money from western Ontario remains in our community and is directed towards life-saving equipment, programs, and research at Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre.
