Today, we pause to remember the 14 women whose lives were tragically taken on December 6, 1989.

This senseless act of violence not only shattered the lives of their families and friends but also left a lasting impact on our nation. These women were students, professionals, and dreamers, each with a bright future ahead of them. Their stories matter, and they will never be forgotten.

As we reflect on this day, let us recommit to working towards a safer, more equal world for all. To end gender-based violence and fight for justice, every day is a step forward.

Remembrance Day

Is a time to honor the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served in conflicts around the world.

It is a moment to reflect on the courage of those who gave their lives to protect our freedoms, and to recognize the ongoing impact of their sacrifice.

As we observe a moment of silence, we renew our commitment to peace and unity, ensuring that their legacy is never forgotten.

Lest we forget.
