Wow—what an incredible night!

On behalf of the Long Sault Firefighters Association, we want to extend a huge thank you to our amazing community for coming out and supporting our Trivia Night & Charcuterie Board Fundraiser. Because of you, we were able to raise an incredible $1,470—and every dollar goes right back into supporting our community initiatives.

A special thank you to our generous sponsors Lactalis Canada and Foodland Ingleside for helping make this event possible. Your support truly makes a difference.

We also want to give a big shoutout to Lost Villages Brewery for hosting us and for their unwavering support of our team and community—we’re so grateful to have partners like you.

We can’t wait to bring you more events like this in the future. Stay tuned!

Make sure when purchasing alarms that they meet Canadian standards!

Make sure when purchasing alarms that they meet Canadian standards!

Look for the mark. It could save your life.

Carbon monoxide is known as the invisible killer. You cannot see it or smell it, but a properly installed carbon monoxide alarm can give you and your family an early warning when it matters most.

During regular home fire inspections, our Fire Prevention Officer has noticed a number of carbon monoxide alarms that do not meet Canadian safety standards. When purchasing a new alarm, it is important to make sure it has been tested and approved for use in Canada.

✅ Always look for a recognized Canadian certification mark, such as CSA, cUL, ULC, or ETL, when buying a carbon monoxide alarm. These markings show the alarm meets the appropriate Canadian safety standards.

As of January 1, 2026, Ontario Fire Code requirements were updated:
• Carbon monoxide alarms must be installed in all homes with a fuel burning appliance and/or attached garage
• Carbon monoxide alarms must be installed adjacent to each sleeping area
• Carbon monoxide alarms are required on every level of the home, including storeys without sleeping areas

Taking a few minutes to check your alarms can make a life saving difference.

If you have questions about carbon monoxide alarms, placement, or compliance, contact our Fire Prevention Officer at [email protected]

Stay safe, South Stormont.

CHARCUTERIE BOX & TRIVIA NIGHT FUNDRAISER

The Long Sault FireFighters Association is running a charcuterie box trivia night at LVB on March 13th from 6 PM - 8 PM, and we’re proud to host it.

We’ll have charcuterie boxes available by cash-only purchase ($40), and every dollar goes straight to the Firefighters Association. Each charcuterie box is portioned for two people, so grab a partner and make a night of it.

You don’t need a box to join the game, but ordering one is a delicious way to support the firefighters. You can also order a box to take home if you can't make it to trivia.

Click the link to pre-order your charcuterie box.
Pre-ordering reserves your box only (not a table). Payment is cash upon arrival. Trivia seating is first come, first served.

Come for the trivia, enjoy your charcuterie (and a nice cold pint), and help a great local cause! 🍻
