Notice to Residents: CORRECTION. The Village will be shutting the water off THIS Friday, June 5th. (A previous post said June 12th which was incorrect). Notices have been hand delivered to most doors with some receiving calls or voicemails. Please see below. Properties affected are on Maple St, Quesnel Rd and Vale Ave.

Despite staff's best effort, we are sad to report that the Lumby Pool will not be able to open this weekend. The pool had an unfortunate equipment failure this afternoon and therefore will not be ready for us in time for our original opening date.

We apologize for the delay as we know residents look forward to the pool's opening every year. Staff and contractors are working hard to fix the issue as quickly as possible so that the pool can be ready for use.

We are hoping that the pool will be able to open Tuesday, May 19th, but will confirm this weekend once repairs have been made.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as staff continue working toward a safe and successful pool opening :)

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ON THURSDAY MAY 14TH, 2026.

Glencaird Street will be closed from 1:45 pm to 6:30 pm on May 14th for the 2026 Grad Class to paint "Cop Hill", the street from Shuswap Ave to Park Avenue.

Due to a mechanical breakdown, some residential garbage will not be picked up today. Please take your cans in for the evening and put them back out at the curb tomorrow morning, as SCV will be back in Lumby to finish the route! Sorry for any inconvenience, but this is an issue beyond anyone's control!
