🚧 ROAD CLOSURE & DETOUR REMINDER - Lumsden Beach Rd 🚧
A reminder to all motorists: this road is closed to local traffic only while construction crews complete stabilization work to improve and strengthen the driving surface.

With the rain we are currently receiving, it is especially important that motorists follow the posted detour route and stay off the closed road. Driving on the road while the surface is wet can damage the work that is being done and create unsafe conditions.

Please do not drive around the barricades or closure signs.

Tax Discount Reminder

Property owners can still save on the municipal portion of their property taxes by paying early:

✅ 6% discount if paid by August 31, 2026
✅ 5% discount if paid by September 30, 2026
✅ 4% discount if paid by October 31, 2026
✅ 2% discount if paid by November 30, 2026

Taxes are due December 31, 2026. A monthly penalty of 1.42% will apply after the due date.

🚧Lumsden Beach Road Upgrade🚧

Road improvements on Lumsden Beach Road will begin August 26th. Work includes soil stabilization and a granular seal coat. Local traffic will be accommodated, and no detours are required at this time. Further updates will be provided as the project progresses.

🚧 Road Maintenance Notice 🚧

Starting August 22, crews will begin crack sealing work on roads in the Grid 734 and Deer Valley areas. Expect single-lane traffic, flag personnel, and minor delays. Work is anticipated to take 3-4 days, weather permitting. Centreline painting will follow.

There will be no crack sealing performed within Deer Valley on Saturday August 22.
