Tournament season is officially here at Lake Manitoba Resort, and we’re starting with our 3rd annual Senior Men’s 2 Man Scramble, proudly sponsored by Eugene Rioux owner of St. Laurent Home Hardware Building Centre. This is the first major tournament of the season and one that always brings out a great field. With over $10,000 in prizes, strong competition, great food, and the kind of tournament atmosphere LMR is becoming known for, this is the perfect way to get the season rolling.

Lake Manitoba Resort has built a reputation for exciting golf events that feel bigger than a regular tournament day. Great sponsors, full fields, big prizes, side games, clubhouse energy, and a course that gives every team a chance to make something happen. This is what tournament golf at LMR is all about.

This is only the beginning. We have a full season of events coming, including the return of the annual hits like the His & Hers, the Million Dollar Par 3 Challenge and our Men's Scramble. This workshop will support our families on what to do if we have an at-risk-loved one, through prevention and educational resources. The Manitoba Métis Federation is proud to host, in partnership with Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Winnipeg, Southern Chiefs’ Organization, and the Manitoba Inuit Association, a special Indigenous Reconciliation Gathering on June 20, 2026, at CFB Winnipeg. This gathering reflects CFB Winnipeg’s long-standing relationship of working alongside Indigenous communities and their commitment to advancing reconciliation.

The Red River Métis Veterans Department (RRMVD) would like to extend invitation to any veteran, their families, and to all Red River Métis to attend this gathering to honour them and their family's sacrifices during their service with the Canadian Armed Forces. This event will bring together community leaders, Indigenous partners, military personnel, and public servants to strengthen the relationships and share knowledge in the spirit of mutual respect and learning.

We welcome all to come and participate in this free event. We encourage attendees to bring cash or card for Food vendors and local artisan's goods that will be on site. Today, we are proud to officially introduce one of the most exciting new features at Lake Manitoba Resort: the Par 3 Hole in One Challenge, made possible through the incredible support of J-Dek Construction and DSC Mechanical.

J-Dek Construction and DSC Mechanical each contributed $5,000 to help launch the jackpot and bring this new challenge to life. Their support has helped us create something unique, exciting, and built to become a signature part of the Lake Manitoba Resort golf experience.

The Par 3 Hole in One Challenge is a season-long golf challenge built around one simple idea: one swing, one shot, and one chance to create a moment people will be talking about all season. Our new 95-yard Par 3 has been designed specifically for this challenge, featuring an artificial tee and green, a great spectator area, and camera coverage to help capture the action.

Here is how it works. With every 9-hole green fee, $2.50 goes into the Hole in One Challenge pot, and the player receives one official shot at the challenge. With every 18-hole green fee, $5.00 goes into the pot, and the player receives two official shots. Additional shots can also be purchased at any time for $2.00 per shot.

When someone makes a hole in one, 80% of the jackpot goes to the winner, and 20% will be reinvested back into course enhancements at Lake Manitoba Resort.

This is not just another golf promotion. We wanted to build something different for our golfers, our guests, and everyone who comes out to enjoy the resort. It is fun, simple, exciting, and open to every player. You do not need to be a scratch golfer or a tournament player. You just need one good swing.

We believe this is one of the most exciting new golf experiences anywhere in the Prairies, and we cannot wait to see who steps up, takes their shot, and makes the first official hole in one.
