Just a reminder, you no longer have to stop at the gatehouse for your permit. After booking online or over the phone, you can head right into the park to start enjoying your visit!

Here's what you need to know:

🌲 Complete self check-in before your visit. You will receive an email reminder on the day of your trip. This will confirm your license plate and occupant information. Upon arrival at the park, proceed directly into the park.

🌲 There's no need to display a permit on your vehicle dashboard or campsite post. Your license plate will be used to verify your permit!

🌲 Need directions or an additional vehicle permit? Have last minute changes regarding your reservation? Stop in at the main gate and our friendly park staff will be there to assist you!

🌲 For all other needs such as firewood, ice and merchandise? Stop in at the park store and they will be there to help!

🎣 Calling all fishing enthusiasts! Mother's day weekend is May 9th to 10th, and we're reeling with excitement! No fishing license is required. If you don't have your own fishing rod and tackle, we are part of OFAH's TackleShare program and have rods and tackle boxes available for lending!

Please be sure to follow the fishing regulations for your zone, Silver Lake Provincial Park is located in zone 18.

We are returning for the 2026 season! We are excited to open our gates Friday, May 8th, to a new year of park visitors. 🏕️

🕰️ Spring Gate Hours:
Sunday – Thursday: 8:30am to 7:00pm
Friday – Saturday: 8:30am to 9:00pm

🌲 A friendly reminder that parking permits are required to access day use areas. These can be purchased online, at https://reservations.ontarioparks.ca under the day-use tab.

🌲 Reservations can be made online at https://reservations.ontarioparks.ca or over the phone through the Ontario Parks Reservation Hotline: 1-888-668-7275

Silver Lake Provincial Park is now closed for the 2025 season! 🏕️

We want to give a big shout-out and sincere thank you to all our amazing campers and hardworking staff for such a terrific year.

We are now signing off social media channels for the season and entering into hibernation. We hope to see you all again next year!

If you have ever taken a walk through a forest or followed a hiking path in a provincial park, you may have noticed initials carved into trees or nails left behind from hammocks or other activities. We ask that you refrain from using nails or carving into trees, as doing so removes some of the tree's natural defenses that help it fight against harmful pathogens that could harm it.

If you are going to bring a hammock, please bring large straps or belts instead, and protect our trees for the years to come!

Remember, take only pictures, leave only footprints
