A message from Chief Mike Wilson:

Stronger together! 🚒

Cornwall & District Fire Department joined crews from Walden, Blockhouse, Northfield, and New Germany for a mutual aid exercise at Bruhms Mill.

Firefighters practiced pump operations, tanker filling, and water shuttling during a simulated mill fire—critical skills for communities without municipal hydrants. The training also strengthened teamwork and familiarized crews with local access challenges, equipment, and capabilities.

Thank you to all participating firefighters, Bruhms Mill for facilitating the exercise, Councillor Alison Smith for her attendance and support, and Deputy Chief Stephen Frank for organizing the training and providing his leadership.

Training together helps us better protect our communities.

Protecting With Pride Since 1977.
